What should I do with this puppy?
Congratulations on the house just brought your new puppy.
I can not tell you how big is pleased to add a puppy to the family. If you have had dogs in the family before you know what I mean. If you do not have prepare for one of the best experiences of his life.
You're sitting there watching some silly things and stupid do. You learn to climb stairs and then falls with a quizzical look on his face wondering what just happened. You'll have lots of hot stuffed leather are sitting on your lap, like insurance than anything you can imagine. Am I notified? Course!
But, let's reality.
A new puppy is a difficult job, but if you start doing it correctly, you will be rewarded by a mile and greatly reduce the frustration of the increase of its new addition to the family. It will do almost anything you do not want him, so be loan and can not be angry with him. It simply does not know the rules of the house, and that's where you come in.
Make your preparations.
Before you bring your puppy home, do your homework, and proof puppy home. Put aside an area that will act as a mini home and play pen for him. As you can see in this picture, have an enclosed area containing a box large enough to into (get a
fund that will be able to when it is grown.) Place an old towel or something similar, in the cage so they do not lie on a hard surface and cold. The reason the towel "old" Indeed, accidents and will be unlikely to panic that has ruined his new towel.
In an opposite corner of the pen was on the ground enough newspapers so they can absorb urine when you have an accident. Take a bowl with a little water and place next to your bed dog cage cheap and easy to wash. The why I say cheap, washable, is this going to have accidents here too, and can possibly chew.
Get enough sleep different types of toys to occupy. You meet here to find out who is the most durable toys are for him. It can destroy stuffed toys, so that you may need to use something stronger.
Definitely get chew toys. Preferably, something Nylabone and unlike leather (leather must be used under supervision in the case of a piece is caught in the throat). Kong-type toys, which can be filled with candy, are also a necessity. This will keep you busy for not too bored and start chewing your bed, or if you want to jump outside pen.
Leave the box "Open Door.
The box in the pen or confined spaces den act as your puppy. This will be their home and home is where you go to bed and get in and out of his will. But do not know yet. You do not want to create the illusion that the box is like a prison and that is where he goes to the punishment. Leave the cage door open if it is inside or outside. You can also put a towel or blanket on top to create the illusion of privacy. Remember that, as his private property.
For him to know that anytime you give a toy, candy or a stuffed animal to put in the drawer and let it go. At the beginning, not a bad idea to treatment, or kibble in the cage and close the door, go with him, of course. He will try to enter the cage to reach food. What is the creation of a desire to want it to go are not, in essence, forcing him to enter
Take him out every hour.
Your puppy is a seasoned Pee & Poo factory. "Pee and poo everywhere. Do not be angry, of course, can not help and so far, no one learned the rules house.
The best thing to do, if you work, take at least days off and spend the day your puppy. Do it out every hour to hour and a half. If it does now, believe me, you shorten the time of a burglary, you save a lot of anguish on her pee and poo in the house, as well as saving your carpets and furniture stain pee.
Using the previous program, put his leash and leave him. Go to a specific area and be there when he sniffs and does his business. Add three to five minutes and take him for a walk beyond this particular field, unless removed. When this happens, make a big deal of it, "GOOOOD Boooy" or Giiirl GOOOOD, pets, playing with him, etc., and then take a walk. If he does nothing, do nothing. Take it back in.
Following this schedule for a few days It teaches is where you go out to pee and shit. You will find that little by little, it will do nothing for each hour and at this stage, you can extend time between trips to the bathroom. This does not mean you will not have accidents. Like a human child must learn to control his bladder and that takes time.
With luck, time to return to work, it will be better able to control themselves, but more than likely, accidents. It's a good idea to have someone out to maintain a certain type of schedule.
Following Part 2.

What I put in the bottom drawer of my puppy?
So I'm doing this border collie puppy and I need something to put in the fund cage. People do not talk to a real dog bed, because if chewed they may become sick. I was wondering if there are puppies and comfortable cheap bench that I could get? and if it seems nostalgia some tips on how to make me feel better? Thank you!
you can start with old towels or blankets. I suggest something easy to wash if puppy has an accident in the cage before he / she is potty trained. As for making you feel a little nostalgia least contact with the breeder and see if you can get something that feels like the mother, brothers and sisters. Put it in the box with something that smells like you (maybe a dirty sock) puppy learns that both the odor means "house". Good luck and congratulations for your new baby. "EDIT: Anyone who tells you to put your dog in a box is" average "Being ridiculous. Would you let your child under 2 years free to wander in the house? No, you put them in a corral to keep them safe. Posted puppy in a cage is a safe and easy to train to the bathroom (if you let dogs crap and pee on the newspaper, then you teach them that it's okay to go home) and give them a "den" that most will grow to love. Dogs are "den" animals and like to have a safe place to go to rest, relax and feel safe.
