Are rawhides made from China safe for dogs?
My little Maltese LOVES rawhides (esp. the Dingo ones) and goes through them pretty fast. I recently got an email from someone that linked me to an article about a woman whose little Chihuahua died after eating treats that were made in China. I did a little research and found out there was a recall a couple yrs ago on some treats made there.
I also looked and saw her favorite rawhides (and the majority of treats and chews) are made in China. Should I avoid giving them to her now? She doesn’t eat them but she chews the heck out of them. She’s little and I don’t want her to get poisoned. Are rawhides made in the US safe?
I would never give my dogs any treats or toys from China.
As for rawhides …rawhides of any kind should not be given to dogs. They aren’t digestible,they cause blockages, they are a choking hazard, they cause stomach upsets…
