Dog Training Advice: You Can Change Your Dog’s Behavior and Stop Being Embarrassed

I adore my two wiener dogs, and wouldn’t change them for anything.  However, I realized that they had dominant behavior which was causing trouble at the dog park, as well as when I had people over and they would jump all over them.

One day I decided to take charge and address these problems.  A trainer would have been very expensive, so that was out of the question.  I was able to find the excellent dog training advice that I much needed and today I can enjoy my pups a lot more and don’t have to worry that they will cause trouble and embarrassment.

some dog care advice please?

I am going to be getting a large dog soon. he is going to have to spend most of his time outdoors because hes somewhat destructive. the problem is that i live in tucson, arizona and it get SCORCHING hot in the summer. what can I do to make him more comfortable in the heat?

I know he’s destructive because we’re going to be watching him for a friend whose going on vacation. At their house they can put him in their pretty much indestructible basement. but we don’t have anything like that. Its not going to be permanent, I guess I should have mentioned that!

Dogs are destructive for a reason. If he’s bored, he requires much more exercise and daily stimulation. If he suffers from separation anxiety, he requires treatment.

It’s literally cruel to leave a dog in heat that you yourself describe as “SCORCHING.” Be aware that large and giant breed dogs are rarely compatible with heat. Chances are, your poor dog will dead of a heatstroke before you know it. Temperatures as “low” as eighty degrees can kill a dog.

To answer your question, be sure there is a constant source of water and a well-shaded area. (That doesn’t remove the temperature factor, though.)
