question about Dog Soldiers storyline?

saw the brit horrro flick Dof Soldiers a few nights ago and am confused!! can someone explain the role of the female zoologist who was actually part of the werewolf family – was she genuinely trying to help the soldiers escape or was it all a trap?? I should not care this much about an avaerage at best film but OMG it’s bugging me!!

My opinion:

I think at first she was hoping they’d be able to kill the rest of the family off, maybe releasing her from it, and when it wasn’t working that way she decided to side with the family.

or maybe she was just playing them the whole time and was waiting to weed them down enough or until she couldn’t control the shapeshift

Honestly though, if you wanna know for sure, try contacting the writer/director/producer and ask him/her/them.
