Some quick suggestions?
I have a three month old great pyr pup. I live out in the country with a fenced in large yard. I am going to a city that’s two hours away and going to another city that’s one hour away from home to get stuff and go to walmart.
My puppy loves the crate(he was crate trained before we got him) and does really good in the crate, he’d go in there himself if I was in the room. He only barks if he needs to eliminate.
Someone that lives with me is taking me and she said just leave the dog home. Suggestions? We have a pooper scooper and bags and a pickup.
As long as he is crate trained leave him home. Let him out for awhile or walk him before you go and he will be fine. He will probably be ready for a nap and sleep the whole time you are gone.
And if he does have an accident? well, at least he is safe at home.
Question for you..If you took him with you what would you do with him while you shopped? The car is dangerous to a young puppy not only from the heat but from the damage he could cause to the car and/or hurt himself.
Leave him home. He will be fine for a few hours.
